Lily loves to explore our balcony mums which we picked up at the local Farmer's Market a few weeks back:
...while our ferocious pup watches from afar:
It was nice and chilly here in Durham, NC this morning -- in the 50's! So we put our handmade hoodies on and went out to play. Joey had on a monster hoodie (of course!), and Lily had on her new "Autumn the Tree Owl hoody" that I made for her.
Originally my thought was to make one of my signature "Aristotle the Owl" hoodies in a pink girly print for Lily, such as this one here:
But then I started sewing...
and the fabric and sewing machine took over...and the hoody ended up like this:
My newest design!
This is "Autumn". She's a tree owl and loves to pretend she's a night owl. :)
Autumn the Owl sits on a tree that branches up over the hood, and onto both sides of the hood, and also around to the front. With colorful leaves falling all over the hoody made from fleece, minky, chenille, and super soft corduroy. Also featuring some of my most favorite colorful fabrics from Anna Maria Horner! There are 50 individual pieces appliqued to the hoody. And Lily looks so super cutesie in it -- as she attempted to ride Joey's old tricycle.
Ahh, wonderful Autumn.
Love the Autumn the Tree Owl Hoody? Gotta have it for your little girl? Let me know!
