There are some blogs for children and their Mamas (and Dadas!) that you must share with the world. The kind of blog that you somehow stumbled upon, via a link from a link from a link -- somewhere in bloggyland. Then, like a surprise gift, you find yourself loving the unexpected screen in front of you. And now, you look forward to visiting that blog because you know you're in for some good stuff. I have one of those to share with you today. It's specifically written to get kids to read. Isn't that awesome? I thought so too.
If you're looking for a few new (to you) or classic books to read to your kids then head on over to The Well-Read Child for many helpful book reviews.
On her blog, you'll find reviews specifically on board books, fiction picture books, middle grade books, teaching and parenting book reviews and more!
I also found some wonderful links to book carnivals and a Thursday themed post (a meme) which is entitled "What My Children Are Reading". I plan on checking in this Thursday for that.
There is also a great big listing of children's literature blogs which are on my to-do list to visit. Oh the joy of finding new children's literature blogs!
As a Mama who adores reading to her kiddos (as does their Dada!), I was hooked when I read this on her blog: "Here at The Well-Read Child, my mission is simple--get kids to read. I feature book recommendations, reading tips, and learning activities you can use to help instill the joy of reading in your child. "
So head on over to The Well Read Child for some book goodness.
